Wired Radio

i had something worth writing about earlier, but i forgot what it was, and i'm kinda confused anyways.

Today in the news, on tv, and on 100's of websites (here's one), there's big news about some analog cable based music network at MIT.

Am i out of my mind or did they not just downgrade the radio?!? You know, the wireless thing we came up with a centrury ago!!! This, being a wired version that you can make automated requests on... They're paying ASCAP and all legal fees and abiding by all laws, giving their community access to a large cache of music that can be broadcast over their cable (as in TV not internet, wired not radio waves). I mean, besides the lack of commercials and shitty djs (the school actually pays the fees besides the advertisers), is that not the radio?

Why is this newsworthy?!?!?! Is there REALLY that little news about?!! Are we REALLY THAT unintelligent in regards to beating the suits in their little money game?!

Absolutely retarded.
